Encounter Mara is a camp within the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, bordering the famed Masai Mara reserve in southwest Kenya, The camp has outdoor viewing deck, guests can watch zebras amble to the nearby saltlick and has one of the world’s most concentrated lion populations.
The property can be accessed through;
Road – Involves a drive that ranges from 5 to 6hrs depending on your location.
Air package – Flights are available from Nairobi to Mara and take about 45 minutes to 1 hour to the airstrip and transfers from the Ol Seki Airstrip to the hotel are about 45 minutes.
Self Drive – For guests looking to drive to Mara, this is possible with your own 4 x 4 Cars for easy maneuvering in the terrain.
Game drives can be done either within Naboisho Conservancy or in Masai Mara National Reserve. Park fee is payable at the gate for both the park and the conservancy.
The Park operates from 6am to 6pm.
Morning, Afternoon and Night Game drives available on Ground Package within the conservancy. Night game drives are available at an extra cost.
The camp has 10 tents including 1 family tent and 2 triple rooms.
